I Need Suggestions! The Perfect Purple Lipstick

OKAY I am on the hunt for the perfect purple lipstick. Ever since Halloween when I couldn't find any purples in Walmart, I've made it my mission to find a perfect one.
I do have Morgana's "Shrieking Violet" and I like it, but it's not really the color I'm looking for. I'm looking for a medium purple, not light and not super dark or sparkly. Blue-toned purple, not red. Think Triana from Venture Brothers (who is pretty much a cartoon me, btw)

I've looked at Lime Crime's "Airborne Unicorn" (don't even say anything, I could care less about that drama) and MAC's "Cyber." Airborne Unicorn is the right shade, but too light and Cyber I can't really say because all I've seen in the online swatch. If anyone knows any good purples, please let me know!
Also keep in mind that I'm sort of poor. I don't own ANYTHING from MAC except one lipglass, if that says anything about my budget haha but I'd be willing to make an exception if it's an awesome color. Help me out!

The Kokiri Forest: Shiro Greens

I realized the other day that I hardly ever wear greens. That day I discovered I had an Ulta and was picking out NYX jumbo pencils, I was getting Caleb to help me decide which colors to get. It was down to a shimmery brown and a green. He said "Get the brown, you never wear green." I thought "huh. He's right." I don't know why, I love green. I particularly LOVE Shiro's greens so this look is using all the ones I have. I actually had my makeup done while there was still sunlight(wow!) so I got a few pictures without flash.

-Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum" (even though you can never see my blush in pictures)

-Shiro "Spinarak" inner corners and blended above Link to create gradient

Lips
-Bonne Bell Lip Lites gloss in "Mocha Mousse" (delicious) Also it's not as peachy as it appears in that picture, it's pretty mauve-y brownish.

I'm going to start wearing greens more. Honestly I think green eyeshadow looks pretty good with my complexion, almost as much as purple. Oh, and how much do you love Shiro? Yeah. I've said it a million times but you can't tell me these greens aren't gorgeous. I especially love Spinarak, it's very subtle but beautiful.

New Jewelry in my Etsy Shop! :)

Christmas is coming up so I've been making some new jewelry today. Lately I only really sell glass tile pendants so I've been a little low on inspiration. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad everyone likes the glass pendants because I love making them! I just miss doing beaded stuff sometimes, because that's what I really love doing. I made a new pair of earrings (inspired by Sailor Mercury, surprise!) and a new necklace. Let me know what you think!

Red Eyeshadow: It CAN be done!

With all the recent hype about the Wet N' Wild holiday palettes, I've noticed a lot of people saying they would never wear red eyeshadow (referring to the Night Elf palette). I personally love red eyeshadow, but I can see how people would be hesitant to try it. The Night Elf palette in particular has a lovely red, it's not super bright and it almost leans towards a maroon-ish. I put this look together using all the colors in the Night Elf palette and I think it's totally wearable!



BTW, Mai is having a giveaway for these WnW palettes here. I entered for the Snow Sprite palette and I'm so glad I did because the Walgreens near me only seems to have the Night Elf one. I like it, but Snow Sprite definitely would have been my first choice.

Foresty Blue/Green EOTD

I love Fyrinnae, have you heard? They have such great quality stuff and variety. I really need to order more, my collection isn't big enough! I put this look together last night using Fyrinnae and Shiro. I love Shiro too. :D Anyway, here it is.





I used:
-NYX Jumbo eye pencil in "Black Bean" smudged out all over lid
-Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy applied all around eyes
-Fyrinnae "Sleepy Hollow" on outer V and along lower lashline
-Fyrinnae "Strip Poker" center of lid
-Shiro Cosmetics "Kokiri Forest" above crease
-Aromaleigh "Amarena" inner corners and underneath brow
-Jordana black FabuLiner
-Maybelline Falsies black mascara

I love Strip Poker. It's not quite blue but not quite gray either, and the gold sparkles are gorgeous. Sleepy Hollow has gold sparkles as well, which is why I chose to put them together. I really think the green Kokiri Forest color brought it all together, though. It's...foresty. :D

Shiro Cosmetics Legends Collection (swatches!)

In case you didn't know, Shiro Cosmetics recently released a new collection of eye shadow. I pretty much fell in love with the Pokemon collection and this one happens to be Legend of Zelda. I didn't really play Zelda as a kid so I don't know much about it, other than what I learned from watching other people play (I played the hell out of Mario and Donkey Kong, though). I was originally planning on holding off on this. I've been reeeeally low on cash lately because my jewelry sales have been pretty low lately. However, once I saw Phyrra's swatches from the collection, I had to get a few samples. I'm SO GLAD I did. I got 5 and received 3 free ones. The ones I picked were Link, Nayru's Love, Temple of Time, Majora's Mask, and Ganondorf. I also received Triforce, Zora, and Kokiri Forest.Caitlin is my internets soulmate, just sayin'.

I got these cute little jars specifically for my Shiro samples since they're so generous! Got 10 of em for like, $3.50 on eBay.

WOW, right?! I love every single one of these. Ganondorf is most definitely my favorite of the ones I got, I've never seen a color like it before. It's like a matte black with a dark red glowing shimmer. So beautiful. I also really love Zora, Temple of Time, and Triforce.

Gothic Blue Fairy Halloween Look

So, check out my awesome last minute costume! Five dollar wings and...well, a bunch of stuff I already had! Woo! I think it turned out pretty cute though, I love having the excuse to do this type of makeup.

Bluuuuuue amirite? I thought it looked pretty awesome for how last minute it was. It was actually supposed to be purple, but Walmart didn't have any purple wings sooo blue! I was supposed to be a dark fairy but I kinda ended up looking like a dominatrix fairy.. haha Here are a few amusing pictures from the evening. The lovely lady in red is my best friend Amanda :)
