Go With the Flow EOTD

I wanted to do a look with a really sharp line instead of smokey like I usually do, and this is what I came up with. I wore this to a Queens of the Stone Age concert. I was there the entire time, but couldn't see them at all. They sounded good, but it would have been cool to actually see the stage. Being 5'1" has a lot of disadvantages. I've actually liked QotSA since about 2002, right when they first came out, so I was happy to get to go. I honestly had no idea they were as famous as they are, though, and unfortunately I'm not very familiar with their new stuff. Oh well, it was still good. If you didn't know, this look is named after what's probably their most popular song.

Eyes:
-TFSI
-Sugarpill "Bulletproof" for the outline and the inside of the wing
-Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy all over center and inner lid
-Moi Minerals "Galaxy" all over main lid
-Shiro Cosmetics "Articuno" inner lid/corners
-Persephone Minerals "Mercury Aqua Rhapsody" applied wet on lower lashline
-NYX "Milk" on waterline
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto black mascara
-Kat Von D tattoo liner pen

I used Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum" on the hollows of my cheeks and Morgana Cryptoria "Wisteria" with a sheer pink gloss on top on the lips.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to show off my Whimsy Beading earrings. It seems like you're not really a beauty blogger unless you've got some Whimsy Beading jewelry. I first heard about them from Phyrra, and I've purchased from them a few times. Their stuff is gorgeous! I had these earrings custom made, but you can get them in their shop, they're called "Anna's Cotton Candy.
I highly recommend purchasing from this shop! They're really nice and super talented as you can see. I think they're having a sale going on right now where you can get 20% off with the code JOEY20. I'm not sure how long it lasts, though.

Well, I'm off to work on an Illustrator project. Joy! I'll leave you with the Queens of the Stone Age song I named this post after :)
Is it just me, or does the music video seem to be a huge metaphor for penetration? o.O

Have a lovely evening!

Super Bright Candy LOTD using Sugarpill and Morgana Cryptoria

I haven't done very many fun looks lately, which is a shame. I find myself reaching for neutrals a lot (mostly because I'm in school) but that needs to stop! Neutrals are fine and all, but colorful is much more my style. I just did this look for fun and thought I would share. It's verrry bright. I know you're not supposed to have bright eyes AND lips, but you know what? Screw it, I don't care. :) I didn't actually wear this out, though, but I totally would.

Face:
-Maybelline Matte Mousse concealer in "Light"
-Covergirl Clean foundation (sensitive skin formula) in "creamy natural"
-e.l.f. complexion perfection (as a setting powder)
-Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum"

Eyes:
-Maybelline matte mousse concealer as a base
-Sugarpill "Afterparty" crease
-Sugarpill "Poison Plum" main lid
-Sugarpill "Dollipop" lower lashline
-Sugarpill "Tako" browbone and inner corners
-Kat Von D tattoo liner in "Trooper" on upper lashline
-MAC eyeliner in "Feline" on waterline
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara

Lips:
-Morgana Cryptoria "Azalea Blue" (I don't know why it looks red in these pictures, it's actually really hot pink/fuschia!)
-MAC "Hot House" lipglass

Sugarpill is so awesome. Gosh. So many possibilities. I hope they come out with new stuff soon.

In other news, check out this AWESOME necklace I got from Gatumi on Etsy. Yes, that's a little Sailor Venus. Holy crap. How friggen cute is this? Check out her shop here, she has ALL KINDS of adorable stuff like this. It came in the cutest package and I even got a freebie Hello Kitty keychain. ^-^

Well that's all I've got for you today. Don't forget to enter my giveaway (ending March 1st), and have a lovely evening!

Jewelries and Whatnot

As you all know, I've been trying to move away from the "glass tile" necklaces I've been making and get back into doing beaded stuff, which is what I love. I will still make glass pendants for anyone who wants one, and probably still a few here and there, I just don't want that to be the main focus of my shop.

I made a couple of necklaces while my shop was closed and they turned out really cute. I know they're really simple and not particularly breath-taking or anything, but they're cool because they're customizable.
These are what I came up with, but I can make these in just about any color combination. Pink & black, blue & red, purple & teal, yellow & green, you name it. Also, they're very affordable for me to make, so I don't have to ask much for them. I have both of these for sale here and I'm only asking $18 for them, and it'd be the same for any custom ones. This isn't an advertisement post or anything, I'm not saying GO BUY NOW, I just thought it was pretty neat and that I'd share. I'm ready to get my creative juices flowing again and can't wait to see what 2011 holds for my little business. :)

In more "beauty related" news, I finally got a couple of Konad plates. I've wanted to get some for months now, and I finally had a little extra money to get some. I've been playing around with them a lot to try and get used to them, so expect to see some nail posts very soon.

Have a lovely day! :)

Last Day of my Sale and Where I've Been

I just wanted to let everyone know today is the last day to get 15% off in my Etsy shop. Enter the code BLACKFRIDAY15 at check out to get the discount. I've got lots of cute things that would be great for Christmas gifts, and my prices range from $8 to $38.

Also, I thought I owed it to you all to let you know where I've been lately. There's a reason why I haven't been posting anything. I had a death in the family on Monday, and it's been an extremely difficult time for me. I'm not ready to say too much about it but I will say it was someone who I was really close to. I haven't really been inspired to do much makeup, but I've been making jewelry like crazy because it's therapeutic for me. I apologize for disappearing, it's just been a really rough week.
I should be back to normal soon enough, don't worry. :)

Have a lovely evening!

New Jewelry in my Etsy Shop! :)

Christmas is coming up so I've been making some new jewelry today. Lately I only really sell glass tile pendants so I've been a little low on inspiration. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad everyone likes the glass pendants because I love making them! I just miss doing beaded stuff sometimes, because that's what I really love doing. I made a new pair of earrings (inspired by Sailor Mercury, surprise!) and a new necklace. Let me know what you think!
Princess Mercury earrings:

Victorian/Gothic/Cameo/Flowers/Pink/Czech Glass etc. etc. Necklace

These aren't new, but I made a combined listing for the Sailor Scout pendants. :)

And here is a very fall-ish earrings/bracelet set. I honestly have no idea what kind of stones these are. I found them in my bead abyss, and could not remember where they came from. They're pretty whatever they are!

Let me know what you think! You guys should keep me in mind at Christmas time..I do custom orders and all that jazz, in fact I love special requests. :D This is my job so I do depend on it... *world's smallest violin* XD

Have a lovely evening!

Jewelry jewelry jewelry

Well, I posted a video in my last entry to try something different and it didn't get any comments at all so I will take that hint haha thanks guys. Anyway, no look for today but I wanted to post some pictures of some jewelry I've been working on. Didn't know I made jewelry? Duh, check out my Etsy page to the right, or just click here. :)

I make tons and tons of glass tiles like these. They're my most popular items. (Totoro, Ponyo, Gir, and various Pokemon being the most popular subjects)
(newest)

I'm not a one trick pony, I also make beaded stuff. I really like to make stuff using Swarovski crystals as well as semi-precious stones. Just some examples:

Turquoise and Red Coral necklace:

Beach-themed charm bracelet with faceted Czech glass and pewter:

Pink Swarovski crystal moons and Swarovski pearl earrings:

You get it. I have tons of stuff in my shop, please take a look! This isn't a "GO BUY STUFF" post, I just thought I'd share some of my stuff and see if I can get some feedback or suggestions. What do people like? What should I make next?

New jewelry, sales updates and whatnot

So in case you didn't already know this, I make and sell jewelry on Etsy. I've been selling jewelry for about a year now but have been making it literally for as long as I've had fine motor skills. Check out my store here to see what all I've got for sale! :)

I make all kinds of things, but my most popular items are glass tile pendants. This cute Totoro pendant is my most popular item, I really can't keep them!

Even though I love making these and I'm super happy that people have responded so well to them, I miss selling my beaded type stuff. That's what I really love doing but it just isn't as popular. These days I like to do "Victorian" themed stuff. This is my latest design, but it hasn't been getting very much attention.

I don't know, we'll see if it picks up. Again, I'm happy that my glass tiles get so much attention because they are adorable and so easily customizable. I just miss being able to get super creative is all. Until next time, guess I should get to work on some glass tile pendants!
