I wanted to do a look with a really sharp line instead of smokey like I usually do, and this is what I came up with. I wore this to a Queens of the Stone Age concert. I was there the entire time, but couldn't see them at all. They sounded good, but it would have been cool to actually see the stage. Being 5'1" has a lot of disadvantages. I've actually liked QotSA since about 2002, right when they first came out, so I was happy to get to go. I honestly had no idea they were as famous as they are, though, and unfortunately I'm not very familiar with their new stuff. Oh well, it was still good. If you didn't know, this look is named after what's probably their most popular song.
Eyes:
-TFSI
-Sugarpill "Bulletproof" for the outline and the inside of the wing
-Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy all over center and inner lid
-Moi Minerals "Galaxy" all over main lid
-Shiro Cosmetics "Articuno" inner lid/corners
-Persephone Minerals "Mercury Aqua Rhapsody" applied wet on lower lashline
-NYX "Milk" on waterline
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto black mascara
-Kat Von D tattoo liner pen
I used Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum" on the hollows of my cheeks and Morgana Cryptoria "Wisteria" with a sheer pink gloss on top on the lips.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to show off my Whimsy Beading earrings. It seems like you're not really a beauty blogger unless you've got some Whimsy Beading jewelry. I first heard about them from Phyrra, and I've purchased from them a few times. Their stuff is gorgeous! I had these earrings custom made, but you can get them in their shop, they're called "Anna's Cotton Candy.
I highly recommend purchasing from this shop! They're really nice and super talented as you can see. I think they're having a sale going on right now where you can get 20% off with the code JOEY20. I'm not sure how long it lasts, though.
Well, I'm off to work on an Illustrator project. Joy! I'll leave you with the Queens of the Stone Age song I named this post after :)
Is it just me, or does the music video seem to be a huge metaphor for penetration? o.O
Have a lovely evening!
Love this look! It's so sharp and artistic. ;d
ReplyDeleteBeautiful look. I love the blending and color placement.
ReplyDeleteI love this:) The sharper line looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYup! That's exactly what the song is about. ;) It's a visual continuation what *is* their most popular track: Feel Good Hit of the Summer.

ReplyDeleteIt really is! I remember seeing it when I was 13 and thinking "oh my." haha and I just noticed what appears to be sperm flying around there at the end. In any case, the song has been stuck in my head ever since I made this post haha
