Two Looks: Dramatic Dark Grey/Purple and Bright Sparkling Green

I actually have two looks from this weekend, as opposed to zero like it has been. I didn't wear either one of these anywhere special, but that doesn't really bother me. I enjoy the process more than impressing people, really.

Here's the first look:

Eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Sugarpill "Bulletproof" in crease and along lower lashline
-Sugarpill "Dollipop" blended into the crease
-Kat Von D "Glock" (from the Metal Orchestra palette) outer 1/2 of lid
-Kat Von D "Razor Gray" on inner half of lid
-Kat Von D "First Class" on inner corners
-MAC "Feline" eyeliner along upper lashline
-NYX "Milk" on waterline
-Maybelline "One by One" black mascara

Lips:
-Morgana Cryptoria "Mistress of Diamonds"
-Lime Crime "Kaleidoscope" Carousel Gloss

The Kat Von D Metal Orchestra palette is kind of hit and miss. I got it on sale for about $15, so it's not a huge deal, but some of the shadows are disappointing, like the white I used for the inner corners. It's like...chunky or something, I dunno. I like the two greys a lot, and the matte black is pretty pigmented. It's about half and half. As for the lips, how pretty are those two together? Some of you might consider it blasphemous to use those two together, but I don't care. It's a gorgeous combo. I really love the color of Mistress of Diamonds, it's a very flattering purple.

The second look:
I wore this look to Krispy Kreme. So glamorous. :P

Eyes:
-Persephone Minerals "Jupiter Oak Evolution" in outer V
-Sugarpill "Midori" just a little bit on the outer 1/2 of lid
-Fyrinnae "Electric Stardust" over some Pixie Epoxy all over the center of the lids
-Nyx "Milk" blended out on the inner corners
-Sugarpill "Bulletproof" along lower lashline
-MAC "Feline" on upper lashline and waterline
-Maybelline "One by One" black mascara

The foundation I used for both of these looks is Cover Girl Clean in "Creamy Natural" in case anyone was wondering.

This look was so much brighter and sparklier in person, I hate that it didn't transfer into photos. Electric Stardust is such a pretty minty sparkly color.

Whew, now that I got all that written, I'm going to go attempt to finish Final Fantasy XIII so I can get XIII-2! Homework is for squares!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Morgana Cryptoria Mini Haul Swatches

It's been a long time since I've ordered from Morgana, and woah has she added new stuff! Glosses, gel lipsticks, balms..it was overwhelming. I knew she'd be doing a Black Friday sale, so I wanted to get a few things to try out so if I liked them, I could go buck wild during the sale. I bought some stuff, but I didn't get too crazy, fortunately. haha
Anyway, I ordered one gel lipstick (Athena), one balm (Merlot), one gloss (Fallen Leaves) and one eyeshadow (Pyramid Scheme). I always try to order at least one eyeshadow whenever I buy from Morgana because it seems like with all her amazing lip products, her eyeshadows get overlooked. They shouldn't though, they're pretty awesome as well.
My tiny, adorable little haul. :P

Merlot lip balm:Woah! This is no ordinary lip balm. I was kind of expecting something sheer and slick, but this is no such thing. It's got just the right amount of pigment and is really smooth. I didn't wear it very long, so I can't say how long it lasts, but it does make your lips feel soft. I can't believe how many different colors there are of these too, I had a hard time deciding. I went with this dark red because I figured I'd wear it a lot during winter.

Athena gel lipstick:Couldn't pass up a pretty purple! This one is really soft, and looks quite shiny on the lips. I think the finish looks great with the color, but I can't tell if this one would be very long wearing or not. It says on the site that they last a long time if you don't purse your lips together, but that's bad news for me because I have a habit of doing that almost constantly.

Fallen Leaves gloss:I applied this one with a lip brush, so that's why my cupids bow looks so sculpted, haha. When I first opened the pot, there was a lot of gloss stuck to the top and it kinda flung out on me a little so you have to be careful with these. However, I LOVE this stuff! I think the color is beautiful for fall and winter, and the green duochrome is very noticable, but not so much that it's weird. I got this with a cinnamon scent, and it's kind of tingly. This one I did wear a long time, and it lasts quite a while! Especially for a gloss. The pot is cheaper than the tube, but I think it comes with plenty of product, for me anyway.

Pyramid Scheme eyeshadow: A very pretty nude eyeshadow. It's kind of pinkish tan with gold sparkles. It doesn't look as pink on me as it does in the jar because I have so much yellow in my eyelids. I like this one a lot because I can see it going with just about anything.

Well, that's all for now. It's been WAAAY too long since I've gotten any goodies (been on a long no-buy) but I'm slowly getting back into the game. I'm trying to catch up on everyone else's posts as well. The semester is almost over, so thank GOD for that. You'll probably be seeing more of me from now on, like it or not. :D

Have a lovely evening!

Hysteria - LOTD

When Sugarpill had their 1 year anniversary sale (can't believe it's been a year already, btw) I, of course, had to get a couple of things. I got Hysteric, Magpie, and Bulletproof. When I got them and saw how pretty they looked next to each other, I realized a look using the three was in order.
^ ^Why do my eyes always look weird/dead in these? o.O

Face:
-e.l.f. primer
-Maybelline matte mousse concealer
-Covergirl "Clean" foundation in "Creamy Natural"
-Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss mineral foundation in "Frisky Persian"
-Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum"

Eyes:
-Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Sugarpill "Magpie" in crease
-Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy just on the main lid
-Sugarpill "Hysteric" over P.E. (works REALLY well with this color, btw)
-Sugarpill "Bulletproof" just a bit on the outer crease and outer lower lashline
-Sugarpill "Poison Plum" lower lashline
-NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in "Milk" on inner corners
-MAC Feline eyeliner on waterline
-Kat Von D tattoo liner pen in "Trooper" on upper lashline
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto black mascara

Lips:
-Morgana Cryptora "Wisteria" (Really gives that pale "nude lip" effect without being boring)
-Bonne Bell "Strawberry Parfait" lip gloss

I really like how this turned out. Hysteric might be my new favorite purple...I dunno. It's up there with Fyrinnae's "Shinigami." I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but it's got really noticeable green sparks that look awesome against the purple. Speaking of Fyrinnae, though, I just placed another order with them so I'm excited about that. Finally picked up some of their "Arcane Magic" shades. The names probably remind a lot of people of WoW, but they remind me of Diablo. I was a Diablo girl way before WoW(been playing since I was about 11), and I'm dying for Diablo III to come out! Come on Blizzard, don't be a bitch!

...anyway. Have a lovely Sunday! :)

Super Bright Candy LOTD using Sugarpill and Morgana Cryptoria

I haven't done very many fun looks lately, which is a shame. I find myself reaching for neutrals a lot (mostly because I'm in school) but that needs to stop! Neutrals are fine and all, but colorful is much more my style. I just did this look for fun and thought I would share. It's verrry bright. I know you're not supposed to have bright eyes AND lips, but you know what? Screw it, I don't care. :) I didn't actually wear this out, though, but I totally would.

Face:
-Maybelline Matte Mousse concealer in "Light"
-Covergirl Clean foundation (sensitive skin formula) in "creamy natural"
-e.l.f. complexion perfection (as a setting powder)
-Clinique blush in "Smoldering Plum"

Eyes:
-Maybelline matte mousse concealer as a base
-Sugarpill "Afterparty" crease
-Sugarpill "Poison Plum" main lid
-Sugarpill "Dollipop" lower lashline
-Sugarpill "Tako" browbone and inner corners
-Kat Von D tattoo liner in "Trooper" on upper lashline
-MAC eyeliner in "Feline" on waterline
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara

Lips:
-Morgana Cryptoria "Azalea Blue" (I don't know why it looks red in these pictures, it's actually really hot pink/fuschia!)
-MAC "Hot House" lipglass

Sugarpill is so awesome. Gosh. So many possibilities. I hope they come out with new stuff soon.

In other news, check out this AWESOME necklace I got from Gatumi on Etsy. Yes, that's a little Sailor Venus. Holy crap. How friggen cute is this? Check out her shop here, she has ALL KINDS of adorable stuff like this. It came in the cutest package and I even got a freebie Hello Kitty keychain. ^-^

Well that's all I've got for you today. Don't forget to enter my giveaway (ending March 1st), and have a lovely evening!

New Morgana Cryptoria Lipstick Swatches

During Black Friday weekend, Morgana Cryptoria had some really awesome sales going on. For the first hour of the sale, her new pastel lipsticks were only $5! Normally they are $9 each. I jumped right on that and also got two other lipsticks I'd been eying. I won't lie, I just got these in today, but I couldn't wait. Especially for the pastels.

I know lip swatches always seem kind of awkward(especially since I have a hideous chipped tooth that I NEVER notice until I see pictures of myself), but I think swatching them on your hand is less effective for showing what they look like so I did it anyway.

Sangria:I will probably wear this a lot. It looks quite a bit brighter in this photo than it actually is, though. That's not a bad thing, it's a really "wearable" color and I can see it working well for lots of different skin tones.

Wisteria:I LOVE this. Pearly pale pale lilac. It's surprisingly subtle, and really frosty. This looks great on it's own, and I bet it would be good for layering. It's not as purple as I thought it would be, but it's still nice. This is one of the brand new pastel colors from Morgana.

Icy Mint:OK, I have absolutely no idea when I'll be able to wear this, but I couldn't resist! Look at that awesome color! It actually smells and feels minty too. I'm going to have to think of a neat way to use this for a photoshoot.

Otherworldly:Last but not least. This is my FAVORITE of the bunch. THIS, my friends, is the cool-toned purple I've been looking for. Get ready to see this on me A LOT.

As with all the Morgana lipsticks, these are very firm in the tube, but smoooooooooth on your lips. I love the packaging for the pastels, because you can see the color in the bottom since the tubes are clear.
Has anyone else tried the pastel lipsticks yet? Or Morgana lipsticks in general? Otherworldy is my new favorite!

Have a lovely afternoon/evening! :D
