Face and Nails of the Day and a New Haircut

So I FINALLY got my hair done..I don't know how apparent it was in the pictures I posted here but it needed it..bad. It looks much better now, I think. Anyway, here's my look for today. It's very...blue.

I also painted my nails today. I had to have this Sally Hansen color, it's called "Bubblegum Pink." Here's what it looks like.

I think this color would look great if you used it in a cool design, but to me it looks a little like Peptobismol on it's own. It's definitely somewhere between that, and Barbie. Not really my thing so I took it off. It's a cute color though, and I'll probably use it for multi-colored designs, which I do pretty often.

I'm going to be going to DC Saturday-Tuesday(to see Gorillaz, yay! ^-^) so I probably won't have time to post anything until after then. YAY Giveaway time! OKAY so what I did was sample my 4 Sugarpill chromalusts for you in Goldilux, Darling, Paperdoll, and Stella. I understand how popular Sugarpill is, but a lot of people don't like to buy full size things without being able to try them first. Since the Sugarpill jars are HUUGE and I'll never be able to use all the product I figured I'd share with you! (for swatches click here for Sugarpill and here for Fyrinnae) Yay! Also, in my last Fyrinnae order I got an extra Samhain Spirits (beautiful fall-y brown color) so I'm throwing that in as well.

What I did was take a little scooper (I'm not sure how much it is as far as measurements but it's enough for plenty of uses) and put the product in little baggies.
First place winner will get ALL of this PLUS a glass tile pendant of your choice, made by me! You can choose one from my etsy store here or request a custom one! Here's some examples:

Soft Blues and Info About My Giveaway!

Giveaway stuff first! So, I promised you all I would do a Sugarpill sample giveaway as soon as I reached 50 followers and damn it I meant it. Well, I logged in today and I have exactly 50! I will make the giveaway post either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much time I have. The Sugarpill colors I have to offer are Goldilux, Darling, Paperdoll, and Stella. Three of the four are from the new colors so this is a great chance for you to try them! I'm going to put around 1/4 tsp of product, give or take, into baggies and I'll probably have 2 sets.

This was done before school, so it's not the neatest but I liked the colors. Anemone is so pretty, I'm in love with it. Probably one of my new favorites.

Oh. And here are the cupcakes I made for Caleb for his birthday. They were chocolate chip with an egg-less cookie dough filling...yes...they were incredible. Though, I won't say how much butter I used in them.. O.O

Shiro Cosmetics! (swatches!)

I finally ordered from Shiro! Woot! I've been meaning to for a really long time now, and since I sold a couple things this past week I was finally able to pick up a few things. Can I just say that I think Pokemon eyeshadow is the coolest thing EVAR? You could say I like Pokemon..I mean I think I'm going to be Oddish for Halloween. Check out my Meowth, Gengar, Pikachu and Raichu pendants. Yeah..I'm a fan. I ordered on Thursday and received everything Monday! I'm pretty sure it was shipped the same day I ordered, which is pretty impressive. I always appreciate quick shipping. Look how cute everything was wrapped!

What I bought was 5 mini jars of Spinarak (liight light shimmery green), Sudowoodo(medium brown with a bit of green/gray to it), S.S. Anne(gorgeous bronz-y brown), Budew(green with a gold shimmer) and Articuno(super shimmery light powder blue). I also got a full size of Meowth which is a beautiful shimmery off-white. I'm really glad I got a full size of it because it's really pretty and versatile. I received 3 free samples of Dunsparce(light yellow with pink sparks), Jigglypuff(shimmery pinkish lavender), and Magneton(super sparkly dark blue/purple). They all came with sifters. I used to hate sifters until I spilled one of my favorite Fyrinnae colors all in my car. Now they're my best friend. >.>

I poured one of the free samples I got (Dunsparce) into a jar, partly to see how much I got but also because I hate how messy they are in the baggies. Look how much product come with the baggie samples! That's a lot! I'm definitely going to be ordering some of these!

I did a look using the more neutral colors I got. This is using Sudowoodo on the crease, SS Anne on the outer half of the lid, Meowth on the inner half of the lid, and Spinarak on the lower lashline.Love! These are really, really great eyeshadows I definitely recommend them. Not to mention amazing customer service..I'll definitely be buying from Shiro again.

I love you, readers! Here are your swatches! ^-^ I definitely recommend full sizing the image since there are so many squished together on my arm. My favorites are Spinarak, Meowth, and Jigglypuff! :)

Neutral EOTD Using Fyrinnae

OK. Usually, I hate brown. I don't like brown clothes, and I don't like brown makeup. Even though it looks "OMGZ SO GREAT" with my eyes/skin tone, I just think it's boring. HOWEVER, Fyrinnae cured me of this...as far as eyeshadow goes, anyway. Samhain Spirits is a really gorgeous brown and I was happy to try it out today.

I was rockin' the natural look today, I dunno what got into me. In other news, I ordered some Aromaleigh stuff today. I got 3 shadows from the Ciao Italia collection "Puffo" "Bacio" and "Amarena." I was unable to discover Aromaleigh before they decided they were closing so this will be my first and possibly only order. I'm going to try and get some from the new collections they are releasing, though, but I'll have to see how much money I have. I'm excited to get these, I've heard nothing but great things! :)

Everyday School Safe Look Using Sugarpill

I usually only post ridiculous looks so here's a normal one. Using..Sugarpill? Whut? Yeah, the new colors are actually pretty safe for day time! I wore this to school.

I didn't use any eyeliner or mascara :O

Bonne Bell lip gloss in Strawberry Parfait (yes it is as delicious as it sounds)

that's it! Not much at all. This is the kind of thing I wear to school, if I'm wearing makeup at all. Normally I can't be bothered to even wear makeup to school but if I have some extra time this is the type of thing I usually do. To me, Paperdoll isn't like other Sugarpill colors. I like it, but it's a pretty light, simple color. It does have some glitter but not a crazy amount. If you're interested in Sugarpill but are put off by the bright colors, I would definitely recommend Paperdoll. :)

Wait, there's an Ulta in my town? What?

So yeah. This week I realized there's an Ulta like, 30 minutes away from where I live. It's not literally in MY town, but it's pretty close. WHY I never noticed it before, I have no idea. All this time I thought I was out of the loop, only being able to go to Sephora when I travel to Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA. Wow. Anyway, of course I had to grab some stuff.

I got 2 China Glaze nail polishes (because they were buy 1 get 1 half off) in Turned Up Turquoise and High Roller and 4 NYX jumbo eye pencils in Cottage Cheese, Electric Blue, Strawberry Milk, and Yogurt. I love these things. I really like using them as a base for eyeshadow. I use a regular base, then put these on and smudge them out. They really make colors "pop."
I love the nail polish, too. I'd been needing some new colors. I painted my nails with "Turned Up Turquoise" and wow that color is ridiculous! It's funny because that's how I decided on the color. I had that one, and a more toned down teal and I said "I'm getting this one, it's more ridiculous."

Anyway, now that I know I have an Ulta, my bank account is going to be crying a lot...
